Sara M. Knowles received her undergraduate degree from California State University, Humboldt, where she majored in philosophy. She attended McGeorge School of Law and passed the California Bar in 2001. That same year she began working as an associate attorney in Chico, focusing on real estate, business matters and general civil litigation. From 2004 until 2008, Ms. Knowles practiced law as a sole practitioner, focusing on real estate, transactions and litigation, and appellate law. In 2008 Ms. Knowles joined Leland, Schultz & Morrissey as an associate. Ms. Knowles' practice focuses on litigation in the areas of real estate, contract, lending, and appellate law. She performs services for clients in need of contract preparation, estate planning, and complex real estate development including condominium conversions.
Ms. Knowles serves as a Special Master for the California State Bar and regularly volunteers her time in support of the Durham School District.
Ms. Knowles resides in Durham with her husband, Tom, and their four children, Carter, Zoë, Teddy and Daisy.
