![]() Before graduating from law school, Mr. Morrissey served as a judicial extern in San Francisco Superior Court for the Honorable Ira A. Brown, Jr. This experience assisted in Mr. Morrissey's knowledge of law and motion civil procedure practice. He is well-versed in a variety of litigation matters, including business and real estate, employment and labor law, and assists in the firm's transactional practice. Mr. Morrissey also serves as a court-appointed mediator in the County of Butte, as well as a hearing officer for the City of Chico and the Butte County Development Department. Mr. Morrissey's legal career started in San Francisco, where he was associated with the law firm of Lynch, Loofbourrow, Gilardi and Grummer. He primarily practiced civil litigation in state court. Mr. Morrissey chose to return to Chico in 1995 after developing a fondness for the town and the surrounding area while here as an undergraduate from 1983 to 1988. He and his wife, Stacia, enjoy a number of outside activities, including camping, hiking, mountaineering and water sports. They have two boys, Shayne and Jake. |
